South Carolina is replacing its high school exit exam with tests considered more useful to students' lives beyond 12th grade. A new law signed by Gov. Nikki Haley deletes South Carolina's three-decade-old requirement that high school students pass an exit exam to graduate.

One by one, bodies are being carried from a boat to a tent on the dock of Jindo island in South Korea. Officials so far have put the death toll from a ferry sinking at 104, but nearly 200 people are still missing. Divers are recovering bodies at a much faster pace since over the weekend they found a way to enter the submerged ferry. So far the ferry captain and two crew members have been charged in the sinking, and six other crew members are being detained.
