One person is dead and several others needed hospital treatment after a blaze at a three-story house in a South Carolina beach town. The Horry County chief deputy coroner said one person died in yesterday's fire in Garden City. County Assistant Fire Chief Scott Thompson said several people were taken to hospitals. 

Tuition for some online college courses in Georgia will drop for the first time this fall. Georgia officials approved the change this week and say it is part of an effort to increase the number of Georgians with college degrees. The cost for fall classes will drop $20, to $169 per credit hour.
