I'm about to be an Uncle Tom!
For those of you who don't already know, my brother married my wife's sister. Cue the deliverance music please, or start chanting "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!" It sounds stranger than it actually is and it is really handy around the holidays. My wife and I had been dating for some time and my brother came up to South Carolina to go snow skiing and my wife's sister went along to even things out. They hit it off and went on their first official date on the night of our wedding. Long story short, they got married and now my brother is also my brother-in-law, or something like that.
Anyway, my sister-in-law is due to give birth to a baby girl (as opposed to a teen-aged girl or an adult girl) on January 19th and we are trying to work it out to be down there at exactly the right time without me missing any work or spending a fortune on plane tickets. Right now I'm not sure where we stand because Allegiant Airlines online booking is not co-operating with us at all - but I THINK that I have found tickets for $27 + $180 in fees and my total would be about $200 for a trip that will have me driving down to Florida with my wife and two screaming kids, then flying back to Greenville and working here for the week at which point I would fly back to Orlando and drive back with my wife and two screaming kids. Sounds very pleasant.
If we can get Allegiant to accept our credit card and book the flight! Wish me luck!
